Concept for Living Northern Design Awards.
Winner of Best 'Interior Design – Public Award'
Our Brief was to create a room set design on site at Chester Racecourse. The design had to be for a living space not a bathroom or kitchen.
The judges were looking for originality and creativity within the design.
All room sets were only allowed to be 3m wide by 3m deep, wall height: 2.5m. All designs must be completed within 48 hrs from scratch.
Challenges faced
We were inspired by the colours that are very fashionable today. All the furnishings were comfortable and a good quality and sustainable. It is difficult to give a clean uncluttered feel to a small room like the set, but we were able to achieve that with all the furniture we choose.
New ideas or strategies
We feel that by using the Intelligent Living control system: that is were technology meets interior design enabled us to control the living space and make it do exactly what we want.
How is the outcome sustainable
We are very fortunate to have amazing sustainable eco friendly supplier who have worked with us on our most recent sustainable projects. Knowing what we had available, we created a comfortable design that would appeal to all.

Lola Bodansky Design Consultants chic, modern, design captured the imagination of the voting visitors at this year's Home & Garden Show. The use of coloured mood lighting and vibrant magenta seating made sure the design really stood out and their ethos of sustainable interior impressed the voters.
