Duplex Apartment
Design Brief
This was a great opportunity to develop a domestic interior having been offered a blank canvas in a luxury penthouse apartment, new-build tower development with spectacular river views from the 25th/26th floor.
A woman with a busy lifestyle and good sense of contemporary style provided the brief for a unique and uncompromisingly comfortable apartment in the city centre of Liverpool. Every aspect of this interior, including details such as place mats needed to work in harmony with the overall design.

Challenges faced
Although it’s great to work and ultimately to inhabit such a lofty penthouse, however, a big challenge was the simple fact that all materials and furnishing had to either be lifted to the top floor by elevator or be built on-site. Anything too big for the lift would have to be carried up the stairway.
New ideas or strategies
A modern and sophisticated interior was created using a sustainable ethic – the furniture and materials used were all built to last. Classic designs can also be timeless – they will still look and feel good in ten years from now.
